Brittany Keith, Career Guru and Young Professional Advisor
Brittany is the co-founder and publisher of CarpeCareer. After graduating from college, no one tells you how to be “business-like” or, better yet, how to find a job in the first place. So, how do you do it? Brittany has learned many things by simply: doing. Now, she wants to share her, sometimes comical, mistakes, lessons learned, and tidbits of advice so that those behind her don’t have to be blind starting Day 1.
Brittany graduated from the United States Naval Academy and is currently a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserves. She has her MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and is employed as a Staff Product Manager at Tesla, Inc. She has experience in military transition, crisis communications, mentorship, and the ins and outs in the world of a young professional.
Patricia Friend, Career Guru and Seasoned Professional Advisor
Patti is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of CarpeCareer. With over 25 years of experience in the business world, Patti wants to share her experiences through the years with those that are executives, upper level management or striving to be so. She has experience in speech writing, public relations, internal communications and knows the ins and outs of climbing the career ladder.
Patti graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters in Management and has held positions with several Fortune 500 companies, including McDonalds and CSX Railroad. She is currently employed at Moraine Valley Community College in Illinois.
